Thanks Krishna, but the homepage is not within the WP environment so not sure if this would work.. plus I'd ideally like them on centered on the main content of the homepage, not a sidebar... Regards

Are you using feedburner? If so, you can use codes from their site to show excerpts anywhere you like, in any environment.
